My two all time favorite science role models would be Nikola Tesla and Leonardo da Vinci. Granted Tesla was a little out there but he still was a genius way ahead of his time and we are still discovering that this electronic world really was his. And Leonardo da Vinci, well he was brilliant. I agree with his views on how the answers for science are found in nature. That nature can tell us everything, we just have to look. We have looked at everything here on Earth so we seemed to have stopped viewing from this point of view. But I find this very inaccurate as we still have the entire universe. From da Vincis time it was all about our realm. Now we need to apply his same methods but to the very small (quantum) and the vary large scales and we will discover, I believe, that his way of viewing still applies. I also believe that the very large and the very small act very similar with the exception of the way forces act based on scale. I also believe that Tesla was really onto something with frequency and vibrations. That is a whole side of science that we have yet to tap fully into yet.
So what are your views on my thoughts?
Who were your role models in science and why?
